My friends list has gotten a little quiet lately, and I also came back from a bit of a hiatus so I thought I'd see if I can find some more cool new folks here ;)

<p><b>Age:</b>Old. 38 as of May 10th.</p>

<p><b>I mostly post about:</b>Daily life. Books I read (I have a weekly "Reading Wednesday" post that I do). Mental health struggles - I have been going through a lot of that this past year after a longer period of feeling better. In fact, I just came back from a 5-week hospital stay. While that is not everything I write about, I will mention it because it is part of my life, I'm not ashamed and it helps me to get it out in here.

I also occasionally posts surveys/memes, make picture posts (always put longer ones under a cut so I don't spam your flists) and I might share a song I found that speaks to me, once in a while. Just anything that goes through my head! I don't post fanfiction or other fandom-related things - nothing against it at all, I have just never been a fandom person.

<p><b>My hobbies are:</b>Reading, listening to music, hanging out with friends, taking walks, jigsaw puzzles, taking pictures, solving logic puzzles or crosswords/wordsearches. I got back into adult colouring while in the hospital and hope to continue with it now that I am back at home. I also signed up for a water gymnastics class where I was put on the wait list since the class is full and I hope that I can get to start asap. Lastly, I would love to travel and go to concerts again, which has been tough not only due to lack of money but also anxiety.</p>

<p><b>My fandoms are:</b>None. As mentioned above, I never got into fandom - I am a fan of things in the sense of liking/consuming them but I don't write/read fanfiction or participate in fandom otherwise. I have nothing against others being into it at all, in fact I think it's quite awesome how many people find fulfillment and genuine happiness in their fandoms. I will also read your fanfic if I am familiar with the subject at all :D</p>

<p><b>I'm looking to meet people who:</b>Are kind, empathetic and understanding that life isn't all sunshine and puppies all the time. Fellow LGBTQ+ individuals (not a must though) and/or vegans (again, not a must. I don't care what you eat as long as you respect my choices too) would be nice.

<p><b>My posting schedule tends to be:</b>I am going to try to make at least one update a week (usually Sundays), plus the "Reading Wednesday" post. There might be more though, depending on how much time I have or if I have something to say.</p>

<p><b>When I add people, my dealbreakers are:</b>Right-wing politics (I don't really write about politics in my journal but I do care and I would rather not associate with intolerant people). Both hardcore zionists and anti-semites (and yes, that also counts those using left-wing politics as a cover for their anti-semitism). Those who don't want "too much negativity" on their list - I know this probably sounds rude, but I would just not feel completely comfortable writing about my struggles anymore and constantly wonder where I'd cross the line of "too much". Hope you get my drift. </p>

<p><b>Before adding me, you should know:</b> I am very possibly neurodivergent, just don't have a diagnosis yet because it is pretty damn difficult to get one here. That means that sometimes I put my foot into my mouth and express myself in a way that can be misunderstood, or I misinterpret things others write. I am not using that as an excuse to be an asshole, but please if I ever offend you, approach me about it and I will do my best to apologize, clear things up and do better in the future. I never set out to hurt anyone or cause drama, but I've had disagreements/misunderstands blow up on here and would rather not repeat that.

I know I might sound like a complicated or unapproachable person but I am really quite nice and genuinely looking forward to meeting people from all walks of life. Please just comment on this post before adding me, thank you very much ♥
